Actively Ageing Seniors Event

Shapes Health Club (Kelmscott), in conjunction with the Living Longer Living Stronger and the City of Armadale, will be holding an Actively Ageing Seniors Event. The event will include presentations from COTA WA and Shapes Health Club LLLS participats and instructors. Afternoon tea will be provided and there is also the opportunities to win prizes. National Glaucoma Week

15 to 21 August 2010

National Glaucoma Week seeks to raise awareness of the 'silent' eye condition- Glaucoma. It is a major cause of sight loss in Australia, with around 3% of Australians over the age of 40 having the condition. However because there are generally no warning signs only about half of those have been diagnosed. This week will encourage all Australias, once they reach the age of 40, to undertake a comprehansive eye check every two years and not take their sight for granted. For further details visit Glaucoma Australia website or contact 1800 500 880.
