COTA WA Special General Meeting

By resoultion of the Board of the Council on the Ageing WA Incorporated a Special General Meeting will be held at 3pm Tuesday 17 August 2010 at the theatre of the Alexander Library, 25 Francis Street Perth. Details of the matters to be discussed can be found in the news section of the website, in the June / July Edition of COTA News or by contacting the Office on 9321 2133.
Individuals or representatives from organistaions who are unable to attend may cast their vote by proxy. Proxy forms are available from Ken Martson, Chief Executive, who can be contacted on 9321 2133 or by email exec@cotawa.asn.au.
National Glaucoma Week
15 to 21 August 2010
National Glaucoma Week seeks to raise awareness of the 'silent' eye condition- Glaucoma. It is a major cause of sight loss in Australia, with around 3% of Australians over the age of 40 having the condition. However because there are generally no warning signs only about half of those have been diagnosed. This week will encourage all Australias, once they reach the age of 40, to undertake a comprehansive eye check every two years and not take their sight for granted. COTA WA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Council on the Ageing Western Australia Incorporated will be held on Tuesday 19 October 2010 at the State Library Theatre, Alexander Library, 25 Francis Street Perth, commencing at 2pm. The call for nomination for Board Members and proposed changes to the constitution will be forwarded to members in due course.

WA Seniors Week 2010

WA Seniors Week is a special event that acknowledges and thanks seniors for thier on going commitment and contributions to the community and families.
